Follow-up

Follow-up care is an essential part of all surgical treatments and we provide an ongoing service for each patient.

Immediately after surgery

After your procedure, Dr Sorensen will visit you in your room to discuss progress and answer any questions you may have. If you are staying in hospital overnight, he will see you again the following day prior to discharge.

Once you are home

All our patients are given comprehensive post-operative guidelines prior to their procedure to read at home. However, in case you have any concerns you will be given an out-of-hours telephone number so that you may contact us at any time, 24 hours a day.

Outpatient follow-up

Suture removal is usually scheduled 7-10 days after surgery (depending on your procedure).

Dr Sorensen will advise you at each follow-up visit when you need to return for any further checks. If you would like to speak prior to the scheduled dates, you are always welcome to seek advice either by telephone or by making an appointment at the clinic.

Long-term follow-up

Ongoing follow-up care and advice is given to all our patients whenever it may be required.
